Marilyn Elizabeth Little, a beloved resident of Sabine County, passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 21, 1945, in Fairdale, she was the cherished daughter of James Clyde McGraw and Mamie Mitchell McGraw. Marilyn spent her entire life in Sabine County, where she was a devoted member of the East Mayfield Baptist Church.

Marilyn dedicated many years of her career to Hemphill ISD before transitioning to the Sabine County Appraisal District, where she worked until her retirement. Her passion for music was evident in her talent as a pianist, and she joyfully played the piano and organ for her church for many years.

Family was at the heart of Marilyn's life. She was predeceased by her husband, Truitt Little, her son, Jerry Little, and her sister, Laura Ezernack.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Johns and husband, Louis, of Hemphill; her son, Billy Little and wife, Kassy Markham; her sister, Nelda Coker; and her grandchildren, Melody Pugh and husband, Isaiah, Lacey Richardson and husband, Ashton, Destiny Alvarado and husband, Joshua, Thomas Johns and fiance', Natasha Alers, Haley Neichoy and husband, Eli, Hannah Little, and Hunter Little. Marilyn also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Kyler, Joshua (Squish), Aiden, Averie, Colson, Parker, and two more grandbabies on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas, with Bro. Floyd Wright and Bro. Ken Dickerson officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Sinai Cemetery in the Fairdale Community of Sabine County.
