Lisa Jean Steptoe, 53, of Lufkin, TX passed away July 3, 2023 in Houston.

She was born Dec 14, 1969 in Vandalia, IL to Edward Matthews and Dorothy File Matthews. She was a homemaker who enjoyed going fishing, camping, going to the beach and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved going to garage sales, looking to add to her collections of glass figurines and crystal trinkets. She loved Christmas and made sure that her home was decorated for the holidays.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Matthews of Woden; husband, Mitch Norman of Lufkin; son, Edward Lynn Steptoe; brother, Edward Geppert of Highland, IL; sisters, Casey Burns and husband, Randall, of Huntington and Amy Matthews of Greenville, IL ; grandchildren, Gaylon Lynn Steptoe, Edward Steptoe and Violet Rain Steptoe; and her nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held on July 11 in Sowell Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro Doyle Luther officiating.
