Linda Sue McSwain, 67, passed away on February 11, 2026, in her hometown of Hemphill. Born on August 17, 1958, in Hemphill, she was the daughter of Gay McDaniel and Evelyn Brooks McDaniel.

A lifelong resident of Sabine County, Linda graduated from Hemphill High School in 1976. She dedicated many years of her career as a secretary in the Home Health industry, where she was cherished by her colleagues for her dedication and was known for her love of cooking and her joy in time with her friends and co-workers. She cherished warmth.

Linda spending the moments spent with her great and great-great nieces and nephews, always providing them with love and laughter.

She leaves behind her sons, Alex McSwain of Hemphill and Nick McSwain and Samantha of Austin; her brother, Glen Mc-Daniel and his wife, Lisa, of Milam; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her deeply.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Gay and Evelyn McDaniel; her husband, Elton Bradley McSwain; and her brother, Larry McDaniel.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street in Hemphill.

Graveside services will commence at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Oak Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. Serving as pallbearers are her sons, Nick and Alex McSwain, along with Jeremy, Miles, and Conor Mc-Daniel.

Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas, is assisting the family with arrangements. Linda's life was marked by her kindness and the deep connections she made with those around her. Her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
