Larry Joe McDaniel, 67, of Hemphill, passed away Saturday, July 9 at his residence.

Larry was born in Jasper on August 10, 1954 to Gay Alex McDaniel and Evelyn Brooks McDaniel. He was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and a graduate of Hemphill ISD. He worked as a handyman in Hemphill which gave him the opportunity to visit with everyone around town. He liked to fish occasionally, but his favorite thing to do by far was talking to, laughing with, and joking around with his many friends and loved ones. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed by many.

Larry is survived by his brother, Glenn McDaniel and wife, Lisa, of Milam; sister, Linda McSwain of Hemphill; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gay and Evelyn McDaniel. Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 12 in Oak Hill

Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 12 in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Serving as pallbearers are Alex McSwain, Nick McSwain, Miles McDaniel, Jeremy McDaniel, Darren Lowe and Connor McDaniel.
