Larry Dean Bevans
Larry Dean Bevans, aged 75, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Milam. Born on January 23, 1951, in Parsons, Kansas, to John Bevans and Eva Lee Tiffee, Larry lived a life marked by dedication to his family, love for outdoor activities, and a notable military and professional career. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where his commitment to his fellow soldiers and to his country was evident. After his military service, he built a career as an oilfield dispatcher, a role he held for many years, showcasing his resilience and work ethic.
An avid outdoorsman, Larry cherished his time hunting and was particularly passionate about bass fishing on Toledo Bend. His love for nature was only surpassed by the joy he found in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a devoted member of the Liberty Springs Baptist Church, where he found spiritual solace and community.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Bevans of Milam; his children, John Bevans and wife, Belinda, of Milam, Minerva Herman of Milam, Sheryl Greer and husband, Philip, of Milam, Susan Brown and husband, Gary, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Aubrey Jones and husband, Christian, of Duncan, OK. He also leaves behind his brother, Richard Bevans and wife, Christine, of Milton, FL; and sister, Shirley Martin of Eucha, OK, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bevans and Eva Tiffee; brothers, W. O. Bevans, Roy Bevans, and John Bevans; and sisters, Lillian Wikins and Dovie Joyner.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Refuge Church in Milam, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenny Constance, Keith Carlson, Huey Boudloche and Shane Slaughter.
Larry Dean Bevans will be remembered as a loving family man, and a respected veteran. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
