Kenneth M. Adkins, Jr., age 83, passed away on September 22, 2024, in Hemphill. Born on March 17, 1941, in Bronson, to Kenneth M. Adkins, Sr. and Loraine Simmons Adkins, he was a lifelong resident of Sabine County.

Kenneth was well-known in the community as the owner of a local grocery store, a testament to his dedication to serving others. He was a Christian and found great solace in his faith. Kenneth was also passionate about computers and gardening, hobbies that brought him immense joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his close friends, Thelma Stewart and her family of Hemphill, and Paul Eson of Brookeland, along with many more friends who will miss him dearly.

Graveside services for Kenneth will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in Spring Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Ginny Mote officiating. The services will be under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, Hemphill, Texas.

Kenneth's life was marked by his unwavering kindness and the deep connections he fostered within his community. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and the profound impact he had on those around him.
