Julie Renee Wall
Julie Renee Wall, known affectionately as Renee, passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on April 1, 1968, in Lufkin, to James Ollie Burns and Judy Faye Stephens Burns, she was a lifelong resident of San Augustine. Renee was a beloved figure in her community, known for her vibrant, fun-loving nature and deep love for her family. Renee spent many years as a dedicated waitress, serving with a smile at various restaurants, where she was appreciated by co-workers and patrons alike. Her life was deeply rooted in her faith, and she was an active member of the Bethel Baptist Church in San Augustine.
Renee's love for life was evident in her hobbies. She cherished her time gardening, listening to music on drives along country roads with her late husband, Jerry Wall, and simply enjoying the pleasures of being a country girl. Her home was often filled with the sound of laughter and the beauty of the plants she nurtured.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Wall, Jr. of San Augustine and Wesley Wall and his wife, KayDee, of Bronson; her brother, James Daniel Burns and his wife, Tisha, of San Augustine; and her sister, Elizabeth Lue Taylor of Chireno. Renee was also a proud grandmother to Jacob Wall and wife, Grace, Jordan Wall, Jace Wall, Journi Wall, Jaiden Wall, Naomi Wall, Kloe Wall, and Hazel Wall, and great-grandmother to Corbin, Darrel, and Savanah. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Wall, and her parents, James and Judy Burns.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street in Hemphill, Texas. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Dickerson Cemetery, with Bro. Skipper Eberlan officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Wesley Wall, Jerry Wall, J. D. Burns, William Taylor, Jacob Wall, Jordan Wall and Jace Wall. Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas, is overseeing the arrangements.
Renee will be remembered as a radiant soul who brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends will endure in the hearts of those she touched.
