Jerry Don Fowle, 77, of Hemphill, passed away June 24, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 12th at 11 am at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill. Jerry was born in Beaumont and moved around frequently throughout his childhood. He enlisted in the US Army in 1964, serving in Germany until 1967. After his honorable discharge, he settled in Vidor where he met and married Velda in 1968. They raised their daughters, Amanda and Mary there. Jerry worked at the Eastex papermill for a few years and then for GMAC, working with auto dealerships throughout the Golden Triangle and later, after Velda passed away, in Longview, Tyler, Lake Dallas, and League City where he met his wife Karen. He retired from GMAC in 2002 and became a licensed real estate agent. He and Karen retired to the lake in Hemphill in 2010.

He was a member of the Pine Forest Masonic Lodge #1420 and the best daddy ever to his daughters and beloved Poppy to his grandchildren.

Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Velda Jenkins Fowle; a granddaughter, Caroline Bindel; a brother Gary Hall; his mother Joyce Hummel; step-father Burt Hummell; father-inlaw Merrill Ross; mother-in-law Joyce Jenkins; and special aunts and uncles including Clyde and Merle Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karen Fowle; daughter Amanda Bindel and husband John; daughter Mary Satoro and husband Anthony; mother-in-law Barbara Ross; stepdaughter Felicia Walker and husband CJ Lee; sister Janie Humphrey; brother Michael Doddy; sisters-in-law Dixie Langston, Cindy Lambright and husband Junior, Becky Herline and husband Neil; brothers-in-law Bo Jenkins and Willie Jenkins and wife Rachel; Brian Ross and wife Kim; grandchildren Megan Satoro; Sophia Satoro; Mary Elizabeth Bindel, Avani Lee, and Ciqali Lee; and beloved nieces and nephews whom he loved to torment.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas. A visitation will begin 30 minutes before Service Time.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home, Hemphill, Texas.
