Ila Ilenne Knotts Lovell, 75, passed away on Tuesday night, May 3, 2022, at her residence in Hemphill. A former resident of Channelview, and years later of Winnie, she had lived in Hemphill for the past twelve years: and was a homemaker.

She was born on Aug. 22, 1946, in Ashland, LA, and was the youngest of six children. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1964.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, John Robert “Bobby” Lovell of Hemphill; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Michael Paslean of Port Neches; granddaughter, Paige Paslean also of Port Neches; sister, Oleta Bown of Ashland, LA; twin sister, Iva Jarriett also of Ashland, LA; and brother, Larry Knotts of Saline, LA. Additional survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, friends and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Irene Knotts; two sisters, Azelle Knotts and Neta Woodard; one of identical twin daughters, Kerri Lovell; an infant grandson, Christopher Paslean; and one unborn grandchild.

Funeral services were held May 7, in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Monty Danner officiating.

Burial followed services to Page Graveyard near Castor, LA.
