Henry Eugene Reeves
Henry Eugene Reeves, 84, of Hemphill, passed away on January 19, 2026. Born on August 28, 1941, in Houston, he was a beloved figure in his community and a devoted family man.
Henry graduated from New Caney High School in 1959 and spent much of his career in sales and maintenance at a local auto parts store. He also contributed many years to the Hemphill ISD, working in maintenance. Henry was well-known for his dedication to his work and his ability to fix almost anything.
Henry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hemphill. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing and deer hunting, activities that he not only enjoyed but also shared with friends and family.
Henry's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife, Judy Reeves of Hemphill; his daughter, Carrie Reeves of Silsbee; his sisters, Margaret Reeves of Conroe, and Charlotte Dempsey and her husband, Don of New Caney. He was a cherished grandfather to Shane Withers and his wife, Sami, and Kyle Withers, all of Silsbee, and a proud great-grandfather to Halle Withers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Scott Reeves and Margaret George-Ann Dunn.
Services for Henry will be held at a later date. His legacy of love, devotion, and community service will be remembered by all who knew him.
