Elmon D. 'Don' Cassel, 71, of Alvin, Texas passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at his residence. Don was born in Center, on March 4, 1952 to Vinon Elmon Cassel and Johnnie Faye Steele Cassel. He was a 20 year resident of Alvin, having previously resided in LaPorte, Texas and was owner/operator of a fabrication company. He loved racecars and boats and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Shane Cassel; and sister, Dianne Cassel.

Don is survived by his wife, Bobbie Cassel of Alvin; daughter, Michelle Pineda of North Carolina; brother, Bubba Cassel of Hemphill; grandchildren, Allie and Zander; great grandchildren, Danali and Trip; niece, Stephanie Cassel Fontenot; nephew, Stacey Lyndsey; great niece, Ashley Hanks; and great nephew Sean Russell.
