Della Sue Reid, aged 67, passed away on May 28, 2026, in Milam. Born on October 23, 1958, in Houston, to Lynndal and Thelma Byrd. Della spent her formative years in Crosby, before settling in Sabine County, where she lived for 30 years. Known for her love of the outdoors, Della found joy and peace in tending to her garden. She embraced her role as a homemaker, dedicating herself to creating a nurturing environment for her family. A devoted grandmother, Della's grandchildren were the light of her life. Her family will remember her as a loving and caring presence who supported them unconditionally.

Della attended of Gravel Hill Baptist Church, where she found spiritual solace and community.

She is survived by her son, Steven Boren of Milam; her brother, Roy Garrison of Houston; her daughter, Kimberly Morvan and husband, Jeremy, of Zwolle, Louisiana; grandchildren, Zachary Johnson, Brianna Hogan, and Ka'Lea Boren; and great-grandchild, Avery Wright. Della was preceded in death by her father, Lynndal Reid; mother, Thelma Byrd, and her brother, James Few.

The Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas, is assisting the family during this time. Della's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be profoundly missed.
