Cathy Holder (née Smith), age 68, passed away on August 18th, 2024 in Kyle. Cathy was born on December 21, 1955, to Carl E. Smith and Lola B. Smith in Center.

Cathy is survived by her husband, James Holder and his son, Marc Holder.

Cathy is also survived by her daughter, Amanda Boyd, and son-inlaw, Jacob Boyd, as well as their three children, Lola, Tyler, and Miles. She is further survived by her brother, Jay Smith (wife Kelly), and her sister, Karen Fountain (husband Donald).

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Smith and Lola Smith.

Cathy struggled with her mental and physical health for most of her life. There were short chapters when she was vital and engaging, but more often than not, she carried physical strain and exhaustion, along with a heavy heart and a mind that caused her great pain. Cathy was clever and headstrong. She was capable of great emotion and thought often of her family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 30th at 11:00am at Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Geneva, TX, under the direction of Starr Funeral home and officiated by Richard Smith.
