Caroline Stanley Walls
Caroline Stanley Walls, 87, of Bronson, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Born on December 1, 1937, in Colmesneil, Caroline was the daughter of Carrol Stanley and Maude Shumway Stanley. She dedicated many years of her life to working as a housekeeper for the Lufkin State School. A resident of Sabine County for the past 15 years, she previously lived in Center. Caroline was known for her love of flower gardening and took great joy in tending to her yard.
Caroline is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Tammy Mitchell and husband, Robert, of Bronson; her sons, Terry Ray and wife, Teri, of Nacogdoches, and Jeff Ray and wife, Jill, of Center. She was cherished by her grandchildren Michael Ray and Heather Burnaman, Mitchell Ray and Catherine, Morgan Ray, Michael Mitchell and Monique, Matthew Mitchell and Briana, and Jake Mitchell and Jodi. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Heather Davis and Coleman, Malachi, Maxwell, Mason, Jaxon, Aidon, Karmyn, Clara, Rylin, Presley, and Kennady; as well as her great-greatgrandchildren Layla and Milay.
Funeral services were held January 20, 2025, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel located at 510 Starr Street in Hemphill, Texas. Bro. David Ebarb officiated the service.
Caroline will be laid to rest at Liberty Hill Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will include Michael Ray, Mitchell Ray, Coleman Davis, Michael Mitchell, Matt Mitchell, and Jake Mitchell.
