Carol Alice Shakespeare Miller
Carol Alice Shakespeare Miller, 74, peacefully drifted into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with her husband by her side on Wednesday, October 26, in Hemphill.
She was born December 12, 1947, in Bessemer, MI to William Shakespeare and Alice Sandra Aho, both who preceded her in death. Two brothers survive her: Bobby Shakespeare and Ronnie Shakespeare. Two sisters also survive her: Barbara Shakespeare and Nancy Shakespeare. Carol attended Carson High School in CA.
She spent the best years of her life with her loving husband of 30 years, Edward Charles Miller of Hemphill. Two peas in a pod, they lived a love story that was a testimony of love and forgiveness. Traveling throughout the country as concession stand owners, they found many opportunities to minister to those in need. Active members of Community Fellowship of Fairmont, they found joy in the friendships they made while they continued to build their faith in Christ and each other.
Her grandchildren have always admired her extraordinary crafting skills. It made the kids chuckle when Grandma was referred to as “The Scrubby Lady.” She made crocheting look effortless and loved teaching her craft. Six grandchildren survive her: Renee, Alesandra, Tyler, Breanna, Montana, and Skylar. She is survived by three great-grandchildren: Faith, Jackson, and Emmett.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 11am on Saturday, November 5th at Community Fellowship of Fairmont, located at 3748 Fairdale Rd Hemphill. Pastor Daniel Serenil will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to the scholarship fund at Community Fellowship of Fairmont in Carol’s name.
