Bruce Dewayne Jones, 62, of Pineland, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Bruce was born on November 23, 1960 in Hemphill, to William Earl Jones and Virgie Rae Lord Jones. Bruce lived all his life in Sabine County. He worked for 40 years at the mill in Pineland as a hydraulic tech. Bruce enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his friends and family especially with his best friends Junior and his dog Gizmo.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri Jones of Pineland; sons, Brandon Jones and wife, Megan of Hemphill, Christopher Jones and wife, Sara of Pineland, and Stephen McClelland and wife, Ashley of California; daughter, Jessica Clark of Hemphill; sister, Vickie Winthrop of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Kolby, Hayden, Mason, Ryder, Kainen, Tucker, Whitley Jo, Bryar, Lane, Levi, Eden and Elena; and one great granddaughter, Xena.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services were held, January 23, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Curtis White officiating.

Burial will follow in Pinehill Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Kenneth Brodie, Cadin Clark, Rex Stimits, Scott Morrison, Jimmy Wimberly, Bryan Fox, Wade Tyson and David Ray Craig serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers is Ray Craig, Cody Craig, Ryan Craig, James Matlock, Billy Wayne Sensat, Luke Hall, Dallas Welch, Fat Cat, Big John Smith, Jerry Dan Webb, John Glover, Joey Quick, Bob White, Rickey Clark, Dane Arceneaux, Shine Smith, Bubba White, Marc Crow and Timmy Ezernack.
