Bonnie Greer Collins passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 83 in Wildwood. Born on December 28, 1940, in Isla Community, Milam, she was the daughter of Blan Greer and Voneta Waller Greer. Bonnie was a proud graduate of Hemphill High School, Class of 1959, and furthered her education at a business school in Beaumont. She worked as a secretary for the Texas Department of Transportation in Beaumont before devoting her life to her family as a stay-at-home wife and mother. Bonnie was deeply involved in her children's activities, serving as a room mother and president of the band boosters. Alongside her husband, she was also active in her church, taking roles as youth leaders, and teaching Sunday School and Bible school at First Baptist Church in Lumberton, and later at Wildwood Baptist Church.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Harper and her husband Scott of Conroe; Christy Collins of Wildwood; and Angie Collins of Las Vegas, Nevada. She also leaves behind her sister, Rachel Coker and her husband, Jerry, of Nacogdoches; and her grandchildren, Lyndsee Vincent, Kaileigh Vincent, Mackenzie Guynn and her husband, Mikey, and Brayden Vincent.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Blan and Voneta Greer; her husband of 55 years, Charles Collins; her brother, Blan 'Buddy' Greer; and her sister, Sue Greer McDaniel.

Bonnie had a passion for shopping and traveling, with Colorado and Tennessee being some of her favorite destinations.

Her life will be celebrated with funeral services on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas, officiated by Bro. Dan Shadduck.

Visitation will commence one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery with Kyle Abshire, Raymond Shearer, Dennis Roundtree, Greg Moore, Derek Coker, and Sam Mayer serving as pallbearers.
