Benny Cade Walker, 82, of Milam, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in Shreveport. He was born in Many, on Feb. 29, 1940 to J. C. Walker, Sr. and Doris White Walker. He attended Negreet High School before joining the United
States Air Force. After his military career, he spent many years in the oilfield working as a tool pusher. His job took him all over the world to places like Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore and India. When he was home, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a long time resident of Many, before moving to Milam in 1998 and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joy Walker of Milam; sons, Scotty Walker and wife, Linda, of Zwolle, and Anthony (Tony) Walker of Many; five grandchildren, Nathan Walker, Stacy Gilgannon and husband, Kevin, Jacob Walker and wife, Kelly, Raylee Walker, and Haylie Permenter and husband, Rance; eight grandchildren, Makenzie, Lexi and Riley Gilgannon, Buck and Hunter Walker, and Brayden, Scarlett and Loretta Permenter; two sisters, Bobbie Wynn and husband, W. J., and Sarah Pilcher; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jason Walker; two brothers, J. C. Walker, Jr. and Donnie Walker and one sister, Betty Oxley. A Memorial Service was held Sat., Sept. 10, at Starr Funeral
Home Chapel, in Hemphill, with Rev. Kenneth Leach officiating. Interment followed services at Beulah Cemetery in Many.
