Barbara Lois Fiscus (née Simmons), born May 2, 1933, in Urbana, Illinois to Lloyd Simmons and Nellie Mae Clevenger, passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 91 in Hemphill. A longtime resident of Sabine County since 1977, having previously lived in Sidney, Illinois, Barbara dedicated her life to her family as a devoted housewife and mother.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Fiscus, Sr.; and her sons, Billy Fiscus, Jr., Robert Fiscus, and Michael Fiscus.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Robert Fiscus and his wife, Hillary, of Milam; Dakota Fiscus of Illinois; great-grandchildren, Brianna White and her husband, Cory, Raelin Fiscus, Landon Fiscus, Sladen Fiscus, and Sawyer Fiscus; great-greatgrandchild, Briggs White and daughter-in-law, Pam Fiscus.

Barbara's life was marked the simple joys of being a homemaker. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas.
