Jay Christopher Williams, born on September 22, 1966, in Beaumont, to J. C. Williams and Francis Barlow, passed away on August 1, 2026, in Hemphill, at the age of 59.

For the past ten years, he made Sabine County his home, following a period of residence in Vidor. He worked as a tree trimmer for Brock Tree Service.

Jay is survived by his son, Jordan Williams of Bay City,; his daughter, Taylor Cortez and husband, Steven, also of Bay City; brother, Dennis Platt of Kountze; and his sister, Janis Myers and husband, Russell, of Lumberton. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Starr Funeral Home.
