Connie Gibson entered peacefully into eternal rest on July 16, 2026, in Hemphill, at the age of 65. Born in the Philippines on June 7, 1961, Connie's life's journey brought her to the United States, where she made Texas her home and built a life centered on family, compassion, and service to others. Connie spent over 25 years working in healthcare. She recently retired from Houston Methodist Hospital after many years as a medical coder. Prior to that, she spent much of her career at Tomball Regional Hospital, where she was respected for her professionalism, dedication, and caring spirit. Throughout her career in health information management, Connie's dedication and integrity left a lasting impact on those she served.

Connie found joy in life's simple blessings. She loved preparing meals that brought family together, tending to her garden, and expressing her creativity through quilting and sewing. A gifted seamstress, Connie lovingly created and mended with remarkable skill, always pouring her heart into everything she made.

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother “Lola”, sister, and friend. She and Billy were married in 1997 and built a loving blended family together, sharing nearly three decades of marriage. Together they created a home filled with laughter, unconditional love, and lasting memories.

For more than 15 years, Connie met cancer with extraordinary courage, quiet strength, and unwavering faith. While the disease challenged her body, it never diminished her love for her family, her generous spirit, or her trust in God. Her resilience inspired those around her, and she faced every challenge with grace and dignity. Although her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is free from pain and joyfully reunited in Heaven with her beloved Inang (Mom).

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Billy Gibson; her children, Sandra Andrade and husband Christian Andrade, Ruben Buentello and wife Yennifer Buentello, Ryan Gibson and wife Kara Gibson, Todd Gibson and wife Valerie Gibson, and Trina Turpin and husband Randy Turpin; six cherished grandchildren; her beloved sisters, Elvina Elias, Merlita Miller and husband Stephen Miller, and Letty Bass; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and generosity. Connie also leaves behind her beloved dog, Jake, and bird Lexy, who faithfully kept her company and brought her comfort throughout the years.

One of God's greatest gifts to Connie's family was allowing them to gather at her bedside during her final hours, surrounding her with the same love she had so faithfully given throughout her life.

As a woman of deep Catholic faith, Connie trusted in God's promise of eternal life. Her family finds peace in the words of our Lord: 'Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.' — Luke 23:43 Funeral Services; A Funeral Mass celebrating Connie's life will be held at St. Pius Church in Hemphill, Texas. The date and time will be announced once details are finalized.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the many prayers, acts of kindness, expressions of love, and support shown throughout Connie's illness and after her passing. Your kindness has been a source of great comfort.
