Kimberly Gayle Wiebelhaus, 60, passed away on June 27, 2026. She was born on March 26, 1966, in East Texas to Gayle Ferguson and the late Buckshot Ferguson. Kimberly spent her childhood in Hemphill, where she was raised as a Ferguson. She graduated from Hemphill High School in 1984 before continuing her education at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education in 1995. Kimberly dedicated more than 10 years to teaching in the classroom, sharing her knowledge and encouraging students while serving in different school districts. Later, she worked alongside her husband, Randy, in his optometry practice, where they enjoyed building both a business and a life together. She later made North Texas her home.

On March 16, 2002, Kimberly married Randy Wiebelhaus. Together they shared 24 years of marriage and a life filled with companionship. Randy survives her and continues to cherish the memories they built together with their beloved dog, Teddy.

Kimberly was the proud mother of her son, Cody Matlock, and welcomed his wife, Chelsie, into the family. She was lovingly known as “Glamma” to her three grandchildren, Caylen, Andrew, and Brayden. Spending time with them brought her happiness, and she treasured watching them grow.

She was preceded in death by her father, Buckshot Ferguson, and her brother, Danny Ferguson.

Kimberly is survived by her husband, Randy Wiebelhaus; her mother, Gayle Ferguson; her sister, Debra K. Ferguson; her son, Cody Matlock, and his wife, Chelsie; her beloved grandchildren, Caylen, Andrew, and Brayden; along with extended family and friends.

Kimberly will be remembered for her resilience, determination, and unmistakable stubborn streak that made her uniquely herself. Those who knew her understood that she faced life on her own terms, with a strong will that carried her through both challenges and triumphs. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the moments they shared together.

A celebration of Kimberly’s life was held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Hemphill, Texas.
