Michael Wayne Booker, Jr., 43, passed away on June 9, 2026, in Lufkin. Born on September 14, 1982, in Jasper, he was the son of Karen Lynn Yonts. A cherished resident of Sabine County, Michael spent his career at Cook Tire in Lufkin, dedicating himself as a tire technician and providing roadside service. Known for his love of life and people, Michael was especially devoted to his children and enjoyed playing Wahoo. Michael is survived by his father, Mike Ebarb of Broaddus; mother, Karen Yonts of Huntington; sons, Devin, Gage, Payton, Huntley, and Brytin Booker; daughter, Bailey Rodenbough; brother, Marshall Ebarb and Megan Rylas; and sister, Misty McCauley and husband, Stephen.

He was preceded in death by his Paw Paw and Maw Maw, James and Mary Lowe; great-grandparents, James and Lula Lowe; Granny, Maxine Hare; and great aunt, Linda Hare.

Michael was a member of the Cowboy Church in Huntington, Texas.

Memorial services for Michael will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas. His life and legacy will be celebrated and remembered by all who knew him.
