Roger Glenn Taylor, aged 67, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Hemphill. Born in New Iberia, Louisiana, on September 13, 1958, to William Taylor and Peggy Ruth Smith Taylor, Roger had made his home in Hemphill for the last six years after previously residing in Arlington.

Roger was a spirited individual, known for his days as a Golden Gloves Boxer during high school and continuing beyond. His love for fishing and dedication to maintaining his yard brought him much joy throughout his life. Roger spent many years working as a machinist in the oil field industry, where he was respected for his hard work and expertise.

He leaves behind his son, Zachary Taylor and wife, Ashley, of Burnet; daughters, Jana Taylor of Houston and Christina Taylor of Hemphill; brother, Bill 'Uncle Bubba' Taylor and wife, Marilyn, of Lufkin; sisters, Patti Taylor and Teresa Taylor; along with eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, William and Peggy Taylor, and brothers, Jeff Taylor and Mark Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. The services will be conducted under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, located in Hemphill, Texas, with Bro. David Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow the services at Center Grove Cemetery.
