Barbara Ann Williamson (née Dickerson) passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 89, in Hemphill. Born on December 7, 1935, in Pineland, she was the daughter of Lewis Dickerson and Julia Crocker Dickerson. Barbara dedicated many years of service as a secretary for West Sabine ISD. A lifelong resident of Pineland, she was a devoted member of Bethel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she actively participated in church activities and found a deep sense of community and faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Barbara was an enthusiastic sportswoman who loved playing basketball in her youth for the City of Houston and later enjoyed bowling and watching game shows. Her vibrant personality and active lifestyle left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Williamson and his wife, Judy, of Booneville, AR, and David Forse of Pineland; daughters, Lisa Welch and Teresa Williamson, both of Pineland; sister, Betty Pattillo of Pineland; grandchildren, Ray Craig and wife, Tyna, Felicia Anderson and husband, Brandon, Michael Williamson and wife, Kaleigh, Darrell Williamson and wife, Amanda, Anthony Forse and wife, Emily, Kendra Brown and husband, Bo, Sheena Moody and husband, Jesse, Maegan Sowell and husband, Joey, Taylor and Courtney Wisley, and Chad Wisely; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Wayne Williamson; sons, Steve Williamson, Allen Wayne Williamson, and Doug Welch; brothers, Billy Mack Dickerson, LJ Dickerson, and IB Dickerson; sister, Dorothy Bell Faulkner; daughter, Nancy Forse; and grandsons, Mark Williamson and Dustin Forse.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Bethel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pineland.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Floyd Wright and Bro. Burl McBride, with burial to follow in Bethel Chapel Cemetery.
