Deborah Ann Guidry (née Duhon), 65, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in Pineland. A lifelong resident of Sulphur, Louisiana, Debbie was born on September 11, 1960, to Joseph Duhon and Margie Monceaux Duhon. Debbie dedicated much of her life to serving her community. She began her professional journey at Calcasieu Marine-Hibernia Bank in Sulphur, where she worked for over 18 years. Her commitment to public service continued when she joined the Sulphur Fire Department as the Fire Chief Secretary—a role she held with pride and diligence for 16 years until her retirement. Her work ethic and warm personality left a lasting impression on colleagues and community members alike.

Family was at the heart of Debbie’s world. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Kaycie O'Quain and husband Bryan of Sulphur, and Kaylie Hershberger and husband Tyler of Pineland. Her handsome grandsons—Hayden and Holden O'Quain and Ryker and Rydge Hershberger—were the light of her life, bringing her endless joy and pride.

She also leaves behind her siblings: Kelli Hoke and husband Robert of Welsh, LA; Nichole Murray of Lake Arthur, LA; and Matthew Duhon and wife Caroline of Welsh. Her long-time companion, Gilbert Manuel of Elton, LA, shared many cherished years with her. Debbie was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Debbie dearly.

Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Duhon; mother, Margie Gossett; stepmother and best friend, Sharon Duhon; sister, Paula McFatter; and mother-in-law, Shirley Guidry Long.

Known for her infectious smile and love for laughter, Debbie was truly a people person. She found joy in simple pleasures— playing BINGO, visiting casinos, singing karaoke with friends and family—and never turned down a Marlboro Red or a cup filled with crushed ice accompanied by an assortment of snacks. Her vibrant spirit brought warmth to every room she entered.

A devout Catholic throughout her life, Debbie’s faith remained a guiding force in all she did.
