Shelia Ann Reynolds-Brown, age 66, of Hemphill, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, in Hemphill. She was bom on April 7, 1959, in Atmore, Alabama and spent her life surrounded by faith, family and love. Shelia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Will and Daisy Taylor; her mother, Myrtle Keith; her late husband, Melvin 'Buddy' Bowtwell; and her brother, Virgil Mixon. She is survived by her husband, Edward Brown; her children, Shannon Vincent and husband, Larry Vincent, of Milam; Gene Reynolds and wife, Sabrina Williams of Buna; Fred Reynolds and wife, Lisa Peters, of Beaumont; Allen Reynolds of Hemphill; and Angel Lambeth and husband, Shannon Lambeth of Bay Minette, Alabama.

Shelia was one of eleven siblings and leaves behind a large and loving family, including 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her two beloved fur babies, Cookie and Walter. She also shared a special bond with her dear friend and caretaker, Tina Vincent, and was blessed with godchildren, Jennifer and Elijah Vickers.

Shelia had a passion for crocheting and sewing, dedicating her time to making blankets for Samaritan's Purse. She was also an avid wrestling fan and loved gardening and her church community, where she found joy and strength throughout her life. Her kind heart, creativity and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street in Hemphill.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 13,2025, in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Buddy Pratt officiating.

Burial will follow services in Hemphill Cemetery with Gene Reynolds, Fred Reynolds, Chris Castilaw, Larry Vincent and DeWayne Johnson serving as pallbearers.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice, Valerie Upshaw, Toledo Bend Family Medicine, Sabine County Hospital and Geneva Baptist Church for their loving care, support and prayers during this time.
