Bonnie Moore
Bonnie Moore, 79, of Rosevine, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Hemphill. A lifelong resident of Rosevine, Bonnie was born there on July 23, 1946, to N. B. McBride and Ella Mae Murray McBride. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was rooted in faith, family, and service to others. She shared many years of marriage with her beloved husband, O. G. Moore, until his passing. Together they built a home filled with love and resilience.
She worked for several years at Hemphill Drug Company, where she was known for her dedication and warm presence. Beyond her professional life, Bonnie embraced the roles that mattered most to her—those of caregiver and nurturer. She raised cattle with care and purpose and found joy in the outdoors through hunting and fishing. Her garden was a source of pride and peace, reflecting her deep connection to the land she called home.
A longtime member of Chinquapin Baptist Church, Bonnie’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Her commitment to her church community was steadfast and enduring.
Bonnie is survived by her sons: Robert Moore and wife, Holly, of Gravel Hill; and David Moore and wife, Angie, of Jacksonville, Florida. She also leaves behind her sister Pat Bradberry of Pineland; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O. G. Moore; children, Rusty and Theresa; brothers, Lavon Murphy, Neulon McBride, and Bernard Ray McBride; and sister, Nella Bea Leet.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street in Hemphill.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2025 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
Burial will follow services in Rosevine Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Moore, Michael Bradberry, Jeremy Moore, Wesley Moore, Kodey Humphries and Andrew Bowlin.
