Kayla Marie White, 36, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at U.T. Health in Tyler. Born on June 1, 1988, in Nacogdoches, she was the beloved daughter of Diane Horton Elliott and Paul Elliott. Kayla found great joy and fulfillment in her work as an aesthetician. Her passion for helping others feel confident and cared for was evident in her dedication to her profession. Outside of work, she cherished time spent riding horses and tending to her garden— two activities that brought her peace and happiness. Above all else, Kayla’s greatest pride and joy were her children; they were the center of her world.

She is lovingly remembered mother Diane Bardwell and husband, Chauncey, of Milam; her husband, Kolby White of Pineland; three children, Jayci Arney, Spencer Arney, and Legend White, all of Hemphill; and her father Paul Elliott and wife, Kelly, of Newton. Kayla also leaves behind two grandmothers: Jean Horton of Milam and Mary Bardwell of Moreauville, Louisiana.

Her memory will be cherished by her siblings: brothers, Josh Elliott and wife, Sharon, of Milam, Cullen Wright of Milam, and Jackson Elliott of Newton; sisters, Hannah Bardwell of Milam, Sharissa Bardwell of Milam, Paulla Hill and husband, Mitchel,l of Newton, and Jordan Elliott of Newton. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends whose lives she touched with warmth and kindness.

Kayla was preceded in death by her grandfather's, Tinker Horton and Steve Elliott, as well as her grandmother, Ollie Chance.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2025, at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Curtis White officiating.

Burial will follow services in New Hope Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Josh Elliott, Cullon Wright, Jackson Elliott, David Elliott, Kyle Jackson, Christopher Low, Kevin Ray Horton and Mason Clegg.

Kayla’s vibrant spirit and deep love for those around her will be remembered always. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
