Randall David Reynolds
Randall David “Randy” Reynolds, 64, of Milam, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Harbor Hospice in Jasper.
Born on February 27, 1961, in Ennis, Randy (also known to friends and family as 'Red') was the son of James Henry Reynolds and Sondra 'Sandy' Lea Owens Reynolds. A lifelong resident of Sabine County, he graduated from Hemphill High School in 1980, where he made his mark with his great sense of humor as a talented catcher for the Hornet Baseball Team.
Randy was well known for his outgoing personality and quick wit. He had a special gift for making bad times better and getting a laugh out of you every chance that he got. His passion for vehicle restoration led to a long career as a paint and body specialist. His artistic talents were evident not only in his detailed automotive paintwork but also in his drawings. His love of music was another passion—those close to him knew he was a pretty good singer.
He is survived by his daughters: Casondra Stell of Hemphill; Brandy Reynolds and Yully Hernandez of Hemphill; Jessica Matlock and husband, Tommy, of Hemphill; and Jocelyn Reynolds and Dewayne Lester of Zwolle, Louisiana. He is also survived by his siblings: Ivy Reynolds and wife, Kelly, of Hemphill; James Howard Reynolds and wife, Berta, of Comanche; Vicky Reynolds Ladner and husband, Randy, of Hemphill; and Beverly Thomae and husband, Elton, of Brookeland. Randy leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren: Jared, Brianna, Ally, Luke, JaLynn, Alyssa, Kenley, Peyton, Paislee, and Adlee.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara Reynolds; his parents, James and Sandy Reynolds; brothers, Bill Reynolds, Jim Reynolds, and Quinton Reynolds; and granddaughters, Makenzie and Hannah.
Memorial services are pending with Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
