Dwayne Allen Self, 53, of Hemphill, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill. Dwayne was born on October 3, 1971, in Bridge City, to Steve Longria and Bernadette Meshell. He was a graduate of Bridge City High School and worked for Market Basket. Dwayne had a deep love for fishing and hunting. He never met a stranger and was known for his warm smile that could light up a room. A dedicated worker who enjoyed helping others, he also had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with those around him.

He is survived by his mother, Bernadette Meshell of El Dorado, Arkansas; his brother, Charles Cage of El Dorado; and his sister, Patricia Cage of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
