Kenny loved to express himself through writing, and had a lifelong interest in photography, capturing moments that reflected his unique perspective on the world around him.

His laughter was infectious, and the joy he exuded when retelling his stories made everyone feel a part of his adventures.

Kenny was an avid outdoorsman, finding peace and fulfillment in fishing and hunting. He especially cherished his time on Toledo Bend, where he created countless memories doing what he loved most. His time in Hemphill and his work at the *Sabine County Reporter* brought him immense joy. He met wonderful people through his work, and his dedication to his job reflected the passion and pride he felt for his community.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Earl 'Buddy' Heyen, his sisters Janice Frye and Kathy Heyen, and many other beloved family members.

He leaves behind a legacy of love with his children Kenneth Wick (Rebecca), Melissa Walls (Taylor), and Brandy Hill (Jeff). Kenny was a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren: Harper, Rylan, Cason, Bowen, and Jordan and companion Angela Grider.
