Mary Ann Roig (Webb)
Born on August 3, 1948, in New Orleans, Mary Ann Roig was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmothe r, and friend whose kindness and sense of humor brought joy to all who knew her. On Sunday night, November 17, 2024, Mary Ann passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and friendship.
She was a devoted member of the Geneva Methodist Church until its closing. Professionally, Mary Ann worked for many years in Nacogdoches for a CPA and later served in the middle school office at Hemphill ISD, where she made a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 12 years, Dr. Chester Roig III; her children, Heather and Kenny Webb; her daughter-in-law Kristen Webb; and her grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Webb, and Cora Roig. Mary Ann found immense joy in watching her grandsons play sports, an activity that brought her pride and happiness as she cheered them on at every game that she was able to attend.
Mary Ann’s kindness, humor, and wisdom shaped the lives of her loved ones, who will carry her values forward. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral Services were held Nov. 23 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
Burial followed services in Myrtle Springs Cemetery located in Geneva, Texas with Kenny Webb, Tyler Webb, Ryan Webb, Tom McGraw and Lee McGraw serving as pallbearers.
Arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home, Hemphill, Texas.
