Lester Lewis Little Jr., “Sug”, 71, of Hemphill, passed away, Friday, October 25, 2024, at Sabine County Hospital. Lester was born December 14, 1952, in Vidor, to Lester Lewis Little, Sr. and Geraldine Poole Little.

Lester grew up in Port Acres, before he and his wife, Nancy moved to Hemphill over 10 years ago after his retirement from Chem Waste Management, in Port Arthur. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed being outdoors and cooking for anyone that came to visit. He enjoyed sitting on his porch and watching the local deer. He was a kind man who liked helping others.

Lester is survived by his mother, Geraldine Little of Port Arthur, sisters, Debbie Borel and husband, Dannie, of Mauriceville, and Sonja Fay Shirley of Beaumont, stepdaughter, Gena and stepson, Shannon of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Little; father, Lester Little, Sr., younger brothers, Danny “Dano”, and Carl Little.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
