Herbert Tucker Rash, 90, passed away on October 19, 2024, in Beaumont. Born on May 18, 1934, in San Augustine, to Price and Dell Reynolds Rash, he was a lifelong resident of Texas.

Herbert spent his working life diligently mowing yards, a task he performed with pride and dedication. He was a familiar and friendly face in his community.

A man of faith, Herbert had been an active member of the Jesus Christ Holy Tabernacle in Jasper, where he participated in various community activities and formed lasting friendships.

Herbert is survived by his sisters-in-law, Sherry Rash of Jasper and Ollie Mae Rash of Lumberton; five nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Price and Dell Rash; his wife, Billie Rash; and brothers, John H. Rash, I. D. Rash, and Herman Rash.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Pineland Cemetery. The services will be under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, located in Hemphill, Texas, with Pastor Chambers officiating.
