George Clifton 'Cliff' Young, Jr. passed away on September 21, 2024, at the age of 44. He was born on May 21, 1980, in San Antonio. He was the son of George Young and Janette Elliott Young of Hemphill.

He was a graduate of Denton High School in Denton. He furthered his education at NCTC as a welder. He liked fishing and cooking but most of all enjoyed spending time with his wife and son.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Corum Young and son, Elliott Young of Lufkin, his parents, George and Janette Young, a sister and her husband, Krista and Eduardo Garcia along with three nieces, Olivia, Sofia and Eva Garci of Barcelona, Spain. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles, Welden and Rita Elliott of Hemphill, Carol and David Rose of Horseshoe Bay, John and Lorraine Young of San Antonio, Don Young of Harlingen and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Arya Elise Young; grandparents, Ellis and Ina Elliott of Yellowpine and Walter and Mamie Young of McAllen.

Graveside services for Cliff were held Friday, September 27, 2024, in Yellowpine Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Eduardo Garcia officiating.

Viewing was held prior to services at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Those serving as pallbearers were Stephen Elliott, John Young, David Rose, Chris Corum and Van Stidham.
