Mary Marguerite 'Molly' Stuart, 88, of Pineland, passed away on September 4, 2024, at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill. She was bom on May 21, 1936, in Los Angeles, California, to Peter Stupin and Josephine Wesche. Molly spent her career as a machine operator before retiring and moving to Pineland, in 2001. She had spent most of her adult life in Galveston and Houston, enriching the lives of those around her in each community she called home.

She is survived by her daughters, Belinda Welch and her husband, Tommy, of Pineland and Rebecca Monakino and her husband, Mark, of Houston; step-granddaughter, April Welch Mills and her husband, Michael, of Hemphill; granddaughter, Natasha McClelland and her husband, Brent, of Pineland; grandson, Jonathan Ansley and his wife, Amber, of Pineland and grandson, Mark Anthony Monakino of Houston; granddaughter, Angela Monakino of Houston and sister, JoAnn Green of Spring. Mary was also a proud great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren, step-grandmother to 4 step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandmother to 5 step-great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine 'Joan' Wesche; father, Peter 'Pete' Stupin; sister, Alice 'Joyce' and her husband, Tommy Martin; son, Ernest Thomas Jackson; stepdaughter, Stacey Welch Pate; nephew, Thomas Martin; and nieces, Mary Cook and Martha Havemann.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

A funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, September 7,2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Burial will follow services in Centerview Cemetery in Pineland, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are Brent McClelland, Keith McCary, Mark Bonner, Jeff Boyd, Christopher Jones, Michael Mills and Jesse Mills.
