Brenda Luker Breshears, 80, of Pollok, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Christus Mother Francis Hospital in Jacksonville. Brenda was born December 18, 1943, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Jack C. and Pauline Anderson Luker. She worked several different jobs, but her main one was as an administrative assistant at Weyerhauser Company in Arkansas. She retired once she met her husband, Lonnie, and moved to Austin. She loved fishing, shopping, traveling, and gardening. She also loved to put puzzles together, glue them, and frame them to give as gifts. They were sought-after treasures by many of her family and friends.

Brenda is survived by her daughters Lonna Callaway and husband, Scott of Liberty Hill, ; Teresa Maryska and husband Tomas of Pollok, ; son, Raymond Breshears of Lansing, Michigan; sisters Cheryl Nelson of Bismark, Arkansas; and Paula Cheek of Hot Springs, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Breshears; grandson Roger Breshears; sisters and their husbands Jacquelyn Gardner and Clifford; Joyce Gray and Ed; Edna Sears and Frank; Betty Rios and Al; Juanita Velasquez and Joseph; Helen Graves and Clifton; Marolyn Thomason; and brothers and their wives Richard Luker and Josephine; Wayne Luker and JoAnn; brothers Paul Darrel Lucker; J.B. Buck Luker; Jerry Luker; and brothers-in-laws Joe Nelson and Don Cheek.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. following visitation in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Burial will follow services in Harper Chapel Cemetery with Tomas Maryska, Donnie Teague, Larry Burgett, Scott Callaway, Kelly Nelson and Sam Nelson serving as pallbearers.
