Kenneth Joseph Shook, age 72, of Hemphill, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024. He was born on March 8, 1952, in Hominy, Oklahoma, to Wilburn Shook and Jesse Mae Langan Shook. Kenneth was an active outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was also known for his culinary skills, enjoying grilling and smoking food. He cherished moments spent with his family. Kenneth served in the Army National Guard and had a successful career as a Consultant in the Oil and Gas industry.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 38 years to Tara Shook of Milam; his daughter, Samantha June Burrow, and husband Morgan, of Bronson; brother, Mike Shook of Bartlesville, OK; sister, Deborah Shook-Hippler, and husband Randy, of Livingston; and grandchildren Anna Dover, Kyle Burrow, Kolyn Burrow, Madison Turnage, Braedyn Burrow, Lucas Burrow, and Paxton Burrow.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, in King Cemetery, Milam, Texas, with Father Ron Foshage officiating. The Sabine County Honor Guard will provide military honors.
