Joyce Fay Smith, age 90, of Hemphill, passed from this world on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at HCA Houston Healthcare Hospital in Conroe. Joyce was born on November 3, 1933, in Newton, to Robert Everett Smith and Ellie Edgar Smith. She graduated from Hemphill High School in 1951. After graduating she moved from Sabine County, returning in 2022 to be near her family.

Joyce is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Glyn and Virginia Smith of Yellowpine, Brother and sister-in-law, Weldon and Jo Ann Smith of League City, Sister and brother-in-law, Eyvonne and William Reece of Port Lavaca, and sister-in-law, Sue Nell Smith.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Nobles, daughter, Sheila Nobles Anderson. Brothers, Bobby Smith and Lyndell Smith, sister and brother-in-law, Betty Sue and Jamie Heisler, and her parents.

Memorial Services for Joyce will be held at Yellowpine Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at 11AM on Saturday, April 6, 2024, with interment following at Yellowpine Cemetery.
