Helen Elaine Griffin, 69, of Rosevine, passed away December 31, 2023 at her residence.

Helen was born January 14, 1954 in Pineland, to Henry Edgar Sunderland and Pearl Bass Sunderland. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and had worked in nursing as a CNA for Twin Lakes Nursing Home for 20 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her dogs, Layla and Molly. She also enjoyed going to casinos.

Helen is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul Griffin of Rosevine; son, Micheal Paul Griffin and Mikki of Pineland; daughters, Pamela Jo Pike and husband, Jason, of Hardin and Paula S. Lyons and husband, Mike, of San Augustine; grandchildren, Tyler Pike, Brady Pike, Jhase Griffin, Jordan Griffin and Seth Stephens, and Jaden Griffin; great grandson, Wynston; and great granddaughter on the way, Parker.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

Burial followed services in Gravel Hill Cemetery with Marty Griffin, Tyler Pike, Jhase Griffin, Seth Stephens, Ronny Fuller and Adam Ketchum serving as pallbearers.
