Linda Dian Bartels, 76, of Deer Park passed away Monday, Dec. 4th, at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill. Linda was born September 22, 1947 in Freer to Marcous Tolbart Cummings and Mary Frances Taylor Cummings. A longtime resident of Yoakum, she had lived in Deer Park for the past five years. After raising most of her children, Linda attended college and began working for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. There, she became the first female manager in Mutual of Omaha's Southeast Region Division. She became a motivational speaker for women in the business work force. She loved to travel and cruising was her thing. She loved going to casinos and had once lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Linda is survived by her sons, James Allen Robertson and wife, Donna, of Fairmount and Roger Dennis Bartels and wife, Rachel, of Spring; daughters, LaDonna Robertson of Zapata, Kathrine Hull and husband, Jacob Longenecker, of Deer Park, Brandy Brazil and husband, Anthony, of Sterrett, Alabama; brothers, Martin Wayne Cummings and Aubrey Cummings; sisters, Pamela Hubble and husband, Skeeter, Melinda Ryan and husband, Glen, Teresa Johnson and LaGina Sanders and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Dalton Creech, Kade Ankofski, Caitlyn Ankofski, Ryan Brandes, James (Quatro) Robertson, Tyler Robertson, Trevor Blackwell, Blake Wooten, Brayden Hull, Maverick Longenecker, Mason Longenecker, Riker Bartels, Ripley Bartels, Dylan Landrey, Bryleigh Ragin and Saylor Carner; and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Roger Bartels; sister, Gloria Van Winkle; brother, Michael Wayne Cummings; grandson, Zane Eaker; and step-father, Clovis (Junior) Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15th, at Monument Baptist Church, 3602 East Blvd, Deer Park, TX 77536, with a reception to follow.
