Sharon Loving, 76, of Broaddus passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill. Sharon was born Nov. 8, 1946 in Houston to George Hartvig Gilbert and Mary Ellen Lanham Gilbert. Over the years, she had worked as an executive secretary in banking, as well as in the oil industry and with airlines. She and her husband had been full time residents of Broaddus for the past two years, having previously resided in Houston. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Loving of Broaddus; son, James Loving and wife, Elizabeth, of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Pamela Loving Belmont and husband, David, of Shreveport, LA; brother, George Thomas Gilbert of Conroe; sisters, Mary Alina Harmon and Suzanne Gilbert Chapman, both of Florida; grandchildren, Ian Loving, Austin Loving and wife, Amelia; Jamie Sirois and husband, Jeff, and Dakota Loving and wife, Brittney; and great grandchildren, Claire, Louis, Audrey and Genevieve.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Norman Gilbert.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
