David Goodson, 60, of Hemphill, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023 at his residence. David was born June 3, 1963 in Port Arthur to Lloyd E. Goodson and Gloria Isabell Kimble Goodson. He had been a member of the United States Air Force and was a graduate of Texas A&M University where he had earned his Bachelor's Degree. He later worked as a courier in the medical field in Austin before moving to Sabine County. He was great at math and he loved to play tennis.

He is survived by his father, Lloyd E. Goodson of Hemphill; brother, Mark Lloyd Goodson of Plainview, OR; and sister, Debra Kay Easley of Beaumont.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Goodson. Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 in Isaac Low Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Richardson officiating.

There will be a meal served following services at the El Camino Bay Community Pavilion beside the cemetery.
