David Anthony Costello, 63, of Hemphill, passed away July 2, 2023 at his residence.

He was born Dec. 31, 1959 in Cincinnati, OH to Edward John Costello, Sr. and Rita Marie Gangloff Costello. Previously from Houston, he had worked in engineering as a document control specialist. He had been a resident of Hemphill for the past eight years and enjoyed living in the country. He loved being on the boat fishing, horse racing and watching Yellowstone. He was a dedicated uncle to all the children in his family.

He is survived by his mother, Rita Marie Costello of Katy; brothers, Edward John Costello, Jr. of Campbell, Timothy Sean Costello of Matthews, and Anthony Costello of Willis; and sister, Peggy Pyle of Katy.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill.
