Thelma V. Teagle Sowell, 85, of Houston, departed this physical life and earned her heavenly wings on Sunday, May 15, 2022.

She was born May 15, 1936.

She is survived by sons, Marvin Sowell of Houston and Rafer Sowell of Houston; daughter, Gale Hope of Houston; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Clematine Johnson of San Augustine and Evon Gentry Shelton of California; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services were held May 21, at Greer Cemetery.
