Marion 'Dick' Cauzell Jacks, 81, of Pineland, Texas passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 18, 1941 in Hemphill, to Marion George Jacks and Bessie Beatrice Wood. He worked as an operator in the oil field industry and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Dick enjoyed a hard day's work and if he ever started whistling the tune of 'Blueberry Hill', everyone better be ready to work. He loved his family, spending time with his grandchildren, and talking with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jacks of Pineland; sons, Richard 'Ricky' Jacks and wife, Kim of Tatum, Texas, and Larry Thomas Jacks and wife, Kelli of Carthage, Texas; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; and special friends, Metra Webb and Vincent Martinez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Bessie Jacks; and daughter, Dianne Jacks (Wellborn); six brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services were held May 22, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Best and Bro. Pat Jacks officiating.

Burial will follow services in Jacks Cemetery in Pineland, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Jacob Rivers, Justin Wellborn, Jacob Wellborn, Larry Jacks, Jr. , Trent Jordan and Stanley Jacks serving as pallbearers.
