Debra Dianne Lavender, 61, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Bastrop, LA on March 28, 1961 to Harry Leonard Anderson and Rebecca Jo Smith Anderson. She was a resident of Palestine, Texas before moving to Hemphill in 2007. After earning her Bachelor's Degree, she worked as a Drug Abuse Counselor for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Wood and husband, Michael, of Hemphill; brother, John Anderson and wife, Kelly, of Hemphill; grandchildren, Haley LaFitte, Amanda Anderson, Kylee Hutchinson and Evan Hutchinson; and great grandchildren, Diana and Mia.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wes Hutchinson. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home.
