Dennis Robert Burnett, 89, of Kountze, passed away April 26, 2022, in Beaumont. He was born Oct. 6, 1932.

His survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Doris McCauley Burnett; daughters, Virginia Martinson and husband, Mike of Maracuja, AZ, Judy Holland and husband, Billy of Dallas and Janice Sinnette of Houston; sons, Billy Burnett of Lufkin, Charles Burnett of Austin, Dennis Robert Burnett Jr., and LaDon Burnett; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George G. and Clara Bell Burnette; sister, Ethel Husley; son Dennis Paul Burnett; stepdaughter, Sherry Herrington; and stepsons, Jesse and Charlie Gay.

Graveside services were held May 2, at Parker Cemetery in San Augustine County, with Bro. T.A. Lane officiating.

Pallbearers included, Billy Burnett Sr., Billy Burnett Jr., Mike McCauley, LaDon Burnett, Keith Merit and Charles Burnett.

Arrangements were under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
