Rafelita 'Rachel' Bragg, age 68, of Broaddus, passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin. She was born Jan. 22, 1954, in Beeville, to parents Alvina (Tapia) and Freddy Coronado. She had been a longtime resident of the Broaddus area. Rachel had worked several years in retail sales and management for Baskin's and Weiner's Department Stores prior to retirement. Her survivors include her sons, Robert Stephen Emerson and wife Kelly of Broaddus, and Christopher Wayne Emerson of Broaddus; grandchildren, Zachery Emerson and wife Ocean of Etoile, Gabrielle Emerson Gehrts and husband Corey of Hillister, Jamie Emerson and Aubrey Davis of Cleveland, C.J. Emerson and Bre of Broaddus, and Aeryn Emerson of Broaddus; great-grandchildren, Hallie Cheyenne Emerson, Maelynn Inez Gehrts, Briar Davis, and twins Hazel and Hunter Emerson; brothers, Gabriel Elizalde and wife Melissa of Broaddus, Texas, and Freddy Coronado of Nacogdoches; a sister, Mary Sanchez and husband Manuel of Lubbock; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan L. Bragg; her father, Freddy Coronado; mother, Alvina Elizalde and husband Santos; and a sister, Yolanda Coronado.

A Celebration of Life funeral service was held Nov. 10, at Trinity Baptist Church in Broaddus with Pastor Don Lofton officiating. Interment and committal service followed at Broaddus Cemetery under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, San Augustine.
